Clear terms for mobile vehicle electronics installations, customer-supplied parts, quotes, appointments, photos, warranty limits and customer information.
1. Service scope
YYC AutoTech provides mobile vehicle electronics installation services, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, stereo upgrades, backup cameras, dash cams, speakers, subwoofers, amplifiers, remote starters, GPS trackers and kill switch systems.
YYC AutoTech is an electronics installation service only. We do not provide mechanical repair, vehicle diagnosis unrelated to the installation, body work, programming outside the agreed installation scope, or manufacturer warranty service.
2. Quotes and pricing
Website prices are starting labor prices only. Final pricing depends on the vehicle, trim level, factory radio, supplied parts, wiring condition, adapters, dash kit requirements, camera routing and installation difficulty.
A quote is confirmed only after YYC AutoTech reviews the vehicle details, dashboard photos, supplied parts information and requested work. If new issues are found during installation, the customer will be notified before additional paid work is completed.
3. Customer-supplied parts
Customers may provide their own screens, radios, cameras, dash cams, harnesses, modules or kits. Customer-supplied parts remain the customer's responsibility.
YYC AutoTech can install compatible customer-supplied parts, but does not guarantee the quality, software, fit, function, long-term reliability, app support or warranty coverage of parts purchased from another seller.
If supplied parts are incorrect, defective, missing adapters, locked, incompatible or unsafe to install, labor already performed and appointment time may still be billable.
4. Mobile appointments
Remote installations are available at the customer's home or workplace at no extra travel cost within Calgary, unless stated otherwise in writing.
The customer must provide a safe, legal and accessible place to work, enough space around the vehicle, permission to work at the location, access to the vehicle, and reasonable lighting/weather conditions.
Appointments outside Calgary, including nearby cities and Alberta service requests, are quoted by request and may require travel scheduling.
5. Deposits, cancellations and rescheduling
A deposit may be required to hold an appointment, order parts, or reserve installation time. Deposit terms will be confirmed before payment.
Customers should give at least 24 hours notice for appointment changes whenever possible. Missed appointments, late cancellations, inaccessible vehicles or unsafe work locations may result in a fee or loss of deposit.
Any cancellation rights required by Alberta consumer protection laws remain in effect and are not limited by this policy.
6. Vehicle condition and existing issues
The customer is responsible for disclosing known electrical, battery, charging, audio, wiring, water damage, warning light, camera, sensor, module or dashboard issues before work begins.
YYC AutoTech is not responsible for pre-existing faults, weak batteries, damaged trim, brittle plastics, aftermarket wiring, missing clips, previous installation damage, incompatible factory systems or issues caused by supplied parts.
7. Warranty and workmanship
YYC AutoTech stands behind clean installation workmanship for the agreed service scope. If a workmanship concern appears after installation, the customer should contact YYC AutoTech with photos, a description of the issue and the vehicle details.
Warranty coverage does not apply to customer-supplied parts, software bugs, third-party app changes, wireless connection behavior, factory vehicle issues, misuse, damage, tampering, water exposure, dead batteries, unrelated vehicle faults or work changed by another person after installation.
8. Testing and handoff
Core functions are tested at handoff when possible. This may include screen power, audio output, basic CarPlay or Android Auto connection, camera trigger, dash cam power, speaker output or other agreed functions.
Some features depend on the vehicle, supplied hardware, phone model, software version, data connection, apps and factory system limitations.
9. Photos, videos and portfolio use
YYC AutoTech may request or take photos/videos of dashboards, parts, installation progress and completed work for quoting, documentation, quality control and portfolio purposes.
Customer names, addresses, license plates, VINs and private information should not be published without permission. Customers can ask YYC AutoTech to avoid using identifiable project photos for marketing.
10. Liability limits
YYC AutoTech is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses such as lost income, missed trips, rental costs, data loss, phone/app issues, vehicle downtime or third-party product failures.
Nothing in these terms limits responsibilities that cannot legally be limited under applicable Alberta or Canadian law.
11. Privacy
YYC AutoTech collects customer information needed to quote, schedule and complete services. This may include name, phone number, email, vehicle details, service area, photos, parts links, messages and appointment information.
Information is used for quoting, scheduling, installation documentation, customer communication, receipts, service history, safety, fraud prevention and required business records.
YYC AutoTech does not sell customer personal information. Information may be shared only when needed to complete the service, manage business systems, process communications, comply with law or protect the business.
12. Text messages and email
Customers who contact YYC AutoTech by text, phone, email or form consent to receiving replies about their quote, appointment, supplied parts and completed service.
YYC AutoTech will not send ongoing marketing messages without appropriate consent. Customers can ask to stop non-essential marketing messages at any time.
13. Promotions
Promotions are limited-time offers and may be limited by vehicle, service type, supplied parts, location, schedule availability and installation difficulty.
Promo discounts cannot be combined with every quote unless confirmed in writing. Terms may change or end without notice, subject to applicable law.
